  1. I had the original Mechwarrior on the 486 DX2-66. The problem was that with the Turbo button turned on, it was too fast, and with it off, it was a bit slow.. 😛

  2. Wow, I'm glad I played Crescent Hawk's Inception on C64 and Amiga. If this is the PC version, it sounds terrible, and the graphics look very glitchy 😛

  3. Mechwarrior 2 was my first experience within the franchise. I loved that game, the graphics (for the time) were awesome and the deep ocean battles were the coolest (and hardest) ones. I've always remember seeing the Mech Commander titles for sale, but I always douted them. I wanted to be the mech pilot anyway. Cool video, lots of great memories in it!

  4. MechAssault was one of my highlight games on OG Xbox, and pretty much why I didn't feel the need for a 360.
I still have the goal to mod my Steel Battalion controller to run MechWarrior 5.

  6. BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Revenge (1990) i played that gane alot! <3 and in 2020 im play the recent version on battlemech

  7. Honestly, sorry to nit-pick, a bit disappointed with this list. Title of the video should have been Evolution of BattleTech games. MechWarrior (though a spin-off of BattleTech) is its own thing and a number of these games were really BattleTech games or MechWarrior spin-offs. Furthermore, no mention of MechWarrior: Living Legends which has more right to be included in a list of MechWarrior games than over half the games listed. Nonetheless, thanks for the video, good footage of each game.

  8. Shenanigans on MW3. That was very obviously a modded MW3 given that the medium pulse lasers worked differently and the presence of a heavy PPC with capacitor.

  9. Not a bad video, but MW: Living Legends and MegaMek (yes, I know it's just an adaptation of tabletop CBT wargame, but still) were omitted.

  10. I had a demo of MechWarrior 2: 31st Century Combat that came with CGW.
    I was ten years old.
I had no idea of what I was doing.
I played the crap out of this game.

  12. Its my favorites game franchise. I even have all of the original battletech source books from the actual FASA published tabletop game that started it all. I wish the developers had put more time and effort into MW5. It looks like a game from 10 years ago, the voice acting sucks, plot and storyline are amateur and it really could have been so much better with todays tech. look at the graphics on games like Eve Online, star citizen and such. They should have made the game that level.

  13. Man those mech assault games felt like a serious backwards evolution. Even MWO retained it better despite being like every money grabbing mmo. Glad we finally have a co-op mech warrior experience now. I only hope the series doesn't get forgotten for another 10-20 years.

  14. These games have not moved on much in thirty years. What a waste of money for the poor souls purchasing.

  15. I remember growing up with the original Battletech boardgame, the Battletech crescent hawks and the original MechWarrior pc games.

    Played them on a Tandy.

Mech assault games are not battletech games as far as I am concerned though.

    MW 4 is pushing it.

MW 3 was the best balance of all first person MW games as they stuck close to way mechs was able to be altered.

From slots for FFA/ES, slots needed for Light fusion – extra light fusion engines, and slots for Heat Sinks/DHS, and jump jets.

The games have been so dumb down for the normies it isn't even funny.

  16. I am just going to say it, knowing how a real gauss weapon works, fire, stage two in flight acceleration, punches through both sides of a tank and vaccume pulls any person through the hole on exit. Where does it say must charge first.
So we have to place specific hardpoint pods, in its origin allowed you to place any type of weapon. Will we ever get fixes to these counter productive ideas, I hope so.
